Using sound instructional design strategies and engaging multimedia, we can create effective learning and assessment tools to support and enhance your educational and staff training programs.
We can create:
- interactive learning objects
- online assessment tools
- online courses.
Whether it is a single learning object, a group of learning objects, or an online course, we can design elearning content to suit your needs.
Interactive Learning Objects
Interactive learning objects are ideal for use with interactive whiteboards. Learning objects can be used to support your classroom delivery. Group learning objects together with an assessment tool to create a scheme of work.
Online Assessment Tools
Interactive quizzes and surveys can be designed to include images, audio, hyperlinks, animation and movie clips. Questions can be presented using a range of different question type, randomised from a question pool, preset to take the user to different questions depending on their answers (branching,) and set to include feedback. Results from both quizzes and surveys can be collated using your Learning Management System (LMS).
Online Courses
An online course is a course where content is delivered through the Internet (or your intranet) via a LMS. Using a LMS, the teacher can create a whole spectrum of online courses - from those that use a limited amount of online activities and tools to support classroom delivery, to those that use a whole variety of online activities and tools to create a totally online course.
At eLearning Catalyst, we specialise in the use of Moodle as a LMS. With Moodle, teachers and trainers have control over the content, the format and the administration settings of their online course. We will work with you and help you design your online course so that you get the best possible use of the features that Moodle offers.

eLearning Catalyst offers engaging, creative and interactive training opportunities for educational and support staff. During the initial consultation process, we will work closely with you to help you identify your training requirements. All training programs are customised to suit your requirements.
Our training programs are designed with clear learning objectives and based on proven educational and instructional design principles.
Training is offered through:
- face-to-face workshops and seminars
- facilitated online courses for individual teachers or groups
- combination of both.
Examples of training programs include:
- Introduction to online learning
- Implementing elearning in your organisation
- Designing elearning content
- Online facilitation strategies
- Engaging students online
- Moodle LMS administration
- Using Moodle LMS to deliver content.

Hosting
eLearning Catalyst can set-up and host your online course using Moodle as the delivery platform, eliminating your need for a large, upfront capital outlay. Moodle is a Learning Management System (LMS) designed to help educators and trainers create online courses with a focus on interaction and collaborative content.
A streamlined implementation process will ensure that you have quick access to your online course. We provide you with a variety of resources to help you use your online course effectively. Local Government Association of South Australia

The Local Government Association of South Australia (LGA) commissioned eLearning Catalyst to provide six online training modules to assist new Council Members to quickly gain the skills required to function well in their new roles. The LGA has an Education Service that provides an annual program of face to face training for both Council Members and Council Staff but this was the first time we have provided online training.
Through this project Catriona has demonstrated herself to be an experienced instructional designer and was of great assistance to us when converting our existing topic information guidelines into interactive online training modules. She provided great suggestions and workable solutions suited to our needs and also worked within our time constraints. We are very happy with the resultant training modules and would recommend eLearning Catalyst as the provider of a very professional service.
